Micro-Location Protection in Complex Buildings
Isle Systems delivers high-precision indoor location awareness to solve the challenge of satellite signal loss inside multi-level facilities, industrial plants, and subterranean environments. When lone workers enter structures where outdoor GPS signals are obstructed, the system seamlessly transitions to indoor positioning protocols to ensure rapid emergency pinpointing.
How It Works
- Seamless Protocol Handoff: The lone worker app continuously evaluates location signals. When GNSS (GPS) satellite reception drops upon entering a building, the application automatically switches to local indoor signals, utilising Aspect Beacons and/or existing Wi-Fi access points, to maintain continuous location awareness across floor levels and rooms.
- Aspect Beacon Deployment: Aspect Beacons are compact, cable-free, battery-powered 2.4GHz RF transmitters positioned throughout a facility. Featuring adjustable transmission power, each beacon's signal range can be calibrated between 3 meters and 50 meters line-of-sight to define precise rooms, hallways, or work zones.
- Event-Triggered Micro-Location Transmission: To preserve battery life and respect user privacy, location data is cached locally on the user's smart device or dedicated hardware. When an emergency alarm is raised (such as an SOS press, True Man Down detection, or TPA check-in expiry), the device instantly transmits the nearest beacon IDs and Wi-Fi data to Aspect Link.
- Interactive Site Map Dispatch: Aspect Link translates the indoor signal data into clear visual map points overlaying custom architectural floor plans, building blueprints, or site drawings. Responders receive alerts with direct links showing the exact floor, section, or room where the lone worker requires immediate assistance.

- ATEX Model: Certified for safe deployment in hazardous or explosive environments.
- Long Battery Longevity: Powered by a 1000mAh replaceable CR2477 battery, providing up to 3 years of continuous operation without hardwiring or external power needs.
- Scalable Coverage: Scaling coverage is straightforward, additional beacons or Wi-Fi nodes can be added at any time with minimal configuration, directly enhancing location resolution.
- Wide Operating Temperature Range: Functions reliably across extreme environments ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
